This Exquisite Forest
This Exquisite Forest is an web-based collaborative art project that lets users create short animations that build off one another by following a few minimal guidelines. The result is a collection of branching narratives resembling trees.
Visitors can not only watch the animations, but also contribute to the project, which will eventually be installed at the Tate Modern gallery in London.
The project is based on exquisite corpse, a surrealist parlor game that involves players collaborating on a single artistic or literary work building off of the previous contributions of other players.
