A feng shui consultant at the LA Zoo will cost $4,500. Purpose: to promote balance and comfort; that is, make three rare golden monkeys, from the forests of China, happy in their new USA enclosure.
Since the actual enclosure is projected to cost $7.4 million, and the monkeys are highly endangered, the $4k spend on this "experiment" doesn't seem like much.
On the other hand, who knew that the price of money houses had eclipsed the price some of us pay for our homes?
A little ordinary math tells us the price of just the house (that does not include food, caretakers, etc.) per year per monkey (here on 10-year loan) is more than $246k.
